During Florida's fall months the inshore fishery experiences what is known as the mullet run. The mullet run is a large migration of mullet (a bait fish) from the north east Florida to the south down Florida's space coast beaches, and intercostal waterways. This time of year is a highly productive time to catch large Snook Tarpon and Jack Cravelle and various other Inshore species that feed on the mass amounts of mullet. This season in my fishery is the most exciting time of year, not only can you live bait fish but you can also chase schools of fish using artificial lures and even fly rods.
With bait pods exploding and being chased by trophy fish the mullet run on the Space Coast and Indian River Lagoon is something a avid fisherman must experience!
